Soorya India Festival is held every year from 21st September .

 

The programme pattern:

 
21st to 30th September:
Indian Panorama (Film Festival), Video Festival, Artists Village, Exhibition of Paintings
 

1st to 10th October:

Dance & Music festival, Guru Pooja

 
11th to 20th October:
Theatre Festival, Talk Festival, Story Hour, Humor Hour
 
21st to 27th October:
Ramayanam Festival
 
28th to 31st October: Mohiniyanttam Festival
 
1st to 10th November: PARAMPARA (Dance and musical festival) where the             artists pay their tribute to their Gurus, Poetry Hour
 
11th to 15th November: Cross Section of World Cinema ( Milestone films)
 
16th to 19th November:

Meet the Masters (V.Shantaram)

                                   
 
20th to 23rd November:

Pied Piper ( Children Film Festival)

                                   
 
24th to 28th November:

Hollywood Today

 
29th November to 3rd December:

India Mainstream

Grand Finale (TRISAKTI - SAMUDRA Fusion)

 
Followed by The East and the West , a twenty four day long festival where the hollywood and the Bollywood films meet .
 
Parampara
 
A unique Dance & Music Festival held every year from 1st November to spot and to promote young talents in Classical Music and Dance. The disciples of illustrious Gurus are presented as artistes of the next generation. Such a festival is likely to be the only one of its kind in the country.

VELUTHAMPI DALAWA a programme on the great freedom fighter.
NEELAVELICHAM on Vaikkom Mohammed Basheer and his characters.

DEEPASIKHA on the plight of genuine artistes.
ANJALI on the 4 Madras WLI of the Indian Army.
SURYAKANTI on the sorrows of flowers of Kerala.
THUDAKKAM probing into a writer's mind through his characters.
AVATHARAM a programme on image building in Indian epics and politics.
MURIVUKAL on the last wish of a great writer.
SAMAVAKYAM on the life of nuns in an old age home.
PULARI on those who have someone to wait for and those who have no one to wait for.
PRANAMAM a tribute to Mohammed Rafi.
THUDARCHA a sequal to thudakkam
 
Monthly programmes
